This painting won a 2nd place ribbon in the Trinity Arts Guild Members Only Show. The category was "Found Objects". Some of the buttons are painted and others are glued on the canvas. It is a gallery wrap canvas which doesn't require a frame and some of the buttons are attached to the sides. This painted started out as doodling in a sketch book and the buttons I was drawing morphed into a face. From that sketched idea I added the miniature portrait and real buttons with the background painted to look like pillow ticking fabric. This was just for the fun of it but I want to do more mixed media work in the future.
